Hi, I am a graduate student from the University of North Texas majoring in rehabilitation counseling. My goal is to assist individuals and families in improving their emotional and mental health. Specifically, I am interested in working with children and teenagers and have experience conducting vocational evaluations for that age group.
My therapeutic approach is closely aligned with existential theory, which emphasizes understanding individuals’ unique experiences, beliefs, and sense of purpose. Additionally, I am able to utilize techniques from modern therapies such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based therapies to further support my clients.
One quote that I live by is, “Become who you are,” by late existential philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. Aligning with my therapeutic orientation, this quote calls for individuals to embrace and fully embody their true selves, rather than conforming to societal expectations or living inauthentically.
